Menopausal Moms: How to Avoid The Body Image Battle
Menopausal Moms: How to Avoid The Body Image Battle
Take the first 4 Steps…
I help families recognize and overcome problematic eating behaviors and body image challenges.
As a Nationally Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, I bring over 30 years of experience in public health, including 17 years as a health and nutrition professor and 4 years as a high school health teacher. My passion for supporting individuals with eating disorders comes from both professional expertise and personal experience—having witnessed the profound impact of eating disorders on many of my loved ones. Whether you’re concerned about your child’s eating habits or they’ve been diagnosed with disordered eating, ARFID, body dysmorphia, anorexia, or bulimia, I’m here to guide and support you as a parent through this challenging time
I understand firsthand what is truly helpful in fostering healing and what can unintentionally cause harm. That’s why I specialize in supporting parents—both those who have struggled with an eating disorder themselves and those guiding their child through similar challenges.
Eating disorders often stem from generational patterns, but the cycle can stop with you. If you’re ready to create a healthier future for yourself and your family, I invite you to schedule a free call to explore how we can work together.
Let’s turn your challenges into opportunities for growth and connection. Start your journey today! My 6 step program, FORWARD is a 6 step program that gives parents the tools, confidence, and support to help their child heal. You will move from fear and confusion to clarity, connection, and hope—with a clear path forward.
Many of us grew up with food and body image messages we don’t want to pass down to our children—but breaking these generational patterns can be challenging. That’s where I come in.
I provide personalized guidance to help you recognize and address early signs of eating disorders or body dysmorphia in your family. Through practical, evidence-based strategies, we’ll create a positive food environment, foster a healthy relationship with eating, and build confidence in your child’s body image—so that food, body image, and mealtimes become natural, stress-free conversations in your home.
I specialize in guiding clients through my 6-step Move FORWARD program. This approach strengthens resilience, promotes positive coping strategies, and enhances essential habits like nutrition, sleep, and stress management, helping your family move toward a healthier, more balanced life.
A clear understanding of what’s happening—and what to do next
Communicate with your child without causing more stress
Regulate your emotions so you can show up calm and steady
Coordinate your child’s care team (therapists, doctors, schools)
Learn what to say (and not to say) around food and body image
Ability to recognize unhealthy generational patterns
Rebuild trust and connection with your child
The FORWARD Method: A Parent Coaching Framework for Supporting Your Child’s Healing from Disordered Eating and Body Image Challenges
My FORWARD method is a 6-step, personalized coaching process designed to guide parents as they support their child through recovery. This framework helps you feel confident, connected, and clear on how to be the anchor your child needs—while building a comprehensive, coordinated plan for healing.
A parent coach supports parents in building effective parenting skills, enhancing family dynamics, and handling challenges in raising children.
Through evidence-based strategies, they assist with discipline, communication, emotional regulation, and mental health. Instead of offering direct solutions, parent coaches work alongside parents to strengthen their approach, boost confidence, and create a nurturing environment for their children.
Health and well-being coaches empower clients to improve their health by helping them set and achieve goals using evidence-based strategies.
Health coaching, proven effective in clinical trials, is most credible when the coach holds an NBC-HWC certification. I have my NBC-HWC and a Master’s in Public Health. I’m also a certified parent coach through the Jai Institute of Parenting.
Therapists explore emotions by examining the past to understand their origins, while coaches help clients acknowledge emotions and develop coping strategies. Therapists diagnose and guide, whereas coaches work collaboratively with clients to identify challenges and achieve goals.
Coaching focuses on action and change, aiming to boost self-awareness and bridge the gap between current reality and potential, while counseling is more reparative.
Success Stories By Our Clients
After a year and a half of working with Coach Siah, I feel good about where I am. My health has improved and I have more good days than bad. “
I was looking for a parent coach to help me with having a deeper connection with my son and came across Siah. I worked with her for less than two months, but she made a huge difference! Siah helped with managing and verbalizing my emotions and concerns. She also explained and provided insight into my son's behavior. Every week I had an action item to work on and new insights to consider. My relationship with my son has improved tremendously thanks to her guidance. And I have the tools to keep it that way!
“Moving FORWARD” is a powerful asset to any parent and child. Coach Siah uses a clear, concise, and yet creative style of coaching. She has a unique way of getting clients to listen and feel listened to. She is making a difference one client at a time.”
Coach Siah has helped me feel more balanced. I have learned to successfully balance home life, school and self-care. Before we began our work, I never would have imagined being able to make self-care a priority. I have learned to not run myself into the ground to feel successful. I let school and all of the other demands on me,consume me.”
“You genuinely care for those you work with and you provided me with a profound level of guidance. For this reason, I found it easy to commit to the program and our appointments. I would look forward to speaking with you.”
