PARENT COACHING
This 6-week one-on-one coaching program will take you from constant worry and doubt to the relief of knowing your kids are going to be ok.
What is a parent coach? A parent coach supports parents in building effective parenting skills, enhancing family dynamics, and handling challenges in raising children. Through evidence-based strategies, they assist with discipline, communication, emotional regulation, and mental health. Instead of offering direct solutions, parent coaches work alongside parents to strengthen their approach, boost confidence, and create a nurturing environment for their children.
Parent Coaching Clients: Parents who work with me seek strategies for emotional regulation, discipline, and communication, plus support for mental health challenges. They want guidance on managing stress for themselves and their children and reassurance that they’re not alone. Their goal is to foster resilience and well-being in their kids. I use my training and personal experience, including insights from my children and over 500 young adult athletes in my study, Suburban Student Athletes: Driven to Overachieve, to enrich my coaching program, Move FORWARD, with effective, research-backed approaches.
Parent coach client testimonial, ”I initially chose Siah for her expertise in eating disorders, which I had struggled with and wanted to avoid passing on to my daughter. However, our parent coaching quickly expanded to cover a wide range of topics. I am incredibly grateful to have Siah as an objective resource and coach during this challenging time of first-time parenting. She has boosted my confidence as a mom and has transformed my husband and my parenting approach for the better. I would highly recommend her to anyone!"
HEALTH AND WELLNESS COACHING
Whatever your health concerns, we'll work together to create lasting lifestyle habits. Using the Move FORWARD plan and its six evidence-based steps, we’ll help you achieve your behavior change goals.
What is a health coach? Health and well-being coaches empower clients to improve their health by helping them set and achieve goals using evidence-based strategies. Health coaching, proven effective in clinical trials, is most credible when the coach holds an NBC-HWC certification. I have my NBC-HWC and a Master’s in Public Health. I’m also a certified parent coach through the Jai Institute of Parenting.
Health Coaching Clients: My clients range across all ages, and those seeking health coaching typically come to me for help with nutrition, building healthier habits in general, and addressing challenges like disease management and prevention, anxiety, ADHD and disordered eating and body dysmorphia.
Health coach client testimonial: “Working with Siah has been a huge help to me. Thanks to her guidance, I now have practical tools and tips that make managing sleep and stress so much easier, and I’ve felt a noticeable drop in my stress levels. She has a unique, approachable, and non-judgmental way of coaching that instantly put me at ease, making the process feel fun and actually achievable. I’m incredibly grateful to her for helping me to feel more balanced, and more prepared for whatever challenges come my way.” Mark A.
Move FORWARD and beat this challenge:
This is my signature program that helps you, as an individual or a parent, get set up with all you need to help you or your child quickly so you can sleep at night and know you (or your child) will be okay. Move FORWARD instead of being stuck in the same unhealthy patterns.
At the end of our 6-weeks together you will have the following items in place:
A team in place ready to support you medically and emotionally with expertise and compassion.
Confidence in yourself or your child to incorporate positive coping tools necessary to beat this and thrive.
Set goals and manage your time around those goals
Define success for you and your family
Revisit family/individual values
Create a plan for building resilience!
LET’S GO!! You will not find anything as cost-effective, and valuable as this program is focused 100% on you, your child and their path FORWARD
What is the difference between a health/parent coach and a therapist?
Therapists explore emotions by examining the past to understand their origins, while coaches help clients acknowledge emotions and develop coping strategies. Therapists diagnose and guide, whereas coaches work collaboratively with clients to identify challenges and achieve goals. Coaching focuses on action and change, aiming to boost self-awareness and bridge the gap between current reality and potential, while counseling is more reparative.
Whether you are interested in health or parent coaching, coaching is a journey we take together. I like to compare coaching to taking a car ride together. As the client, you are the driver and you decide how fast we go, what direction we go, how far we go or if we need to turn around. As your coach, I sit in the passenger seat with maps, tools, and support that I offer as needed. It is your journey. I support you.
The Approach
There is not a one-size fits all approach to living balanced, healthy lives. Due to busy, stressful, and demanding lives, many of us experience physical or mental health challenges. As an experienced health and parent coach, I will help you find balanced emotional and physical health again. Through my 6 session evidence based program, I support you as you support your loved one or yourself with health or life challenges.
