As a certified parent and health coach, I work with families facing these and other challenges to build resilience and balance. Using evidence-based strategies, I’ll help create a personalized game plan with positive coping tools for both you and your child. Together, we’ll enhance sleep, nutrition, stress management, and communication, empowering you to foster a healthy, resilient, and thriving family!
My six step, researched based program is designed to help parents support their kids through the demands of today’s world.
I will work with you and support you as you support your child through, and out of, a mental health challenge. We will address the mental health condition like we would any physical illness. Alternatively, I can work with your child. Here are the evidence based 6 steps in my program, move FORWARD, based upon the three pillars Family. Fit. Flow:

This 6 Step, evidence-based program, is designed to help parents support their kids through the demands of today’s world.
This program is based on three core areas that when put together create a whole. When the family connects and focuses on each child’s individual fit, peace and relief will exist in the home. Parents will learn to harness strengths they innately have while improving healthy communication skills, emotional intelligence, leading by example with family values and calming their own nervous system in order to best help their child.
That’s why we focus on these core areas:
One powerful outcome of embracing these three pillars is the transformation of the overwhelming, exhausting checklist families and students often feel obligated to complete in pursuit of "success." This shift leads to a simpler, more authentic, and more enjoyable approach to growth and achievement. As a result, families experience more quality time together, reduced stress, and relief from the pressure to meet society's often unrealistic standards of success. This naturally paves the way for improved mental and physical health for both parents and children.
The 3 Pillars of the Move FORWARD Coaching Plan
Kids are being pushed to a level of distress while racing down this fast-paced, dangerous lane to achieving “success”. This never-ending race is leading to a rapidly increasing deterioration of our kids’ physical and mental health which has finally been declared a mental health epidemic. One reason mental health conditions are on the rise in young people is because they don’t have healthy coping skills. Without healthy coping skills or a diagnosis of what is at the basis of our pain, we, as humans, will do whatever we can to “feel better” and this may lead to unhealthy coping skills which include self-harm such as drug use/abuse/addictions, eating disorders. My specialty as a parent coach is getting to the bottom of stress and normalizing a mental health diagnosis so proper care and treatment can be sought. I provide parents effective tools to manage their own wellbeing while supporting their child’s health challenge.
We draw on a child’s strengths & family values while incorporating positive coping skills to navigate life’s challenges. Healthy communication skills, emotional intelligence and tactics to calm nervous systems are gained to raise resilient kids. Once a mental illness is viewed as any other physical malady, appropriate strategies can be implememeted. We focus on family values, individual strengths and building positive coping tools to instill resilience. If you recognize you can no longer do this on your own, sign up and Move FORWARD with my 6 week parent coach program.
As a health professor and educator, and NBC-HWC coach, who has worked with thousands of clients, parents, and students with various mental and physical health challenges, I have cared for multiple people, including family members, who have battled and beat an eating disorder and other mental health challenges and health diagnoses. Whether your child’s struggle is with disordered eating, body dysmorphia, an eating disorder, overweight, poor nutrition, or mental health struggles, my job is to support you as you support your child through these challenges. I have been in your shoes. As a parent myself, I know what it is like to parent when my child is hurting. When our child is hurt and struggling, we hurt and struggle too.
Like all families, we have been through a lot together. Our connection to each other has helped us through our collective and individual challenges. I like to be authentic about my own parenting journey. I am not a perfect parent– just ask my kids. The lessons I learned regarding aspects of parenting that helped my kids and what wasn’t so helpful, as well as my professional background and experience, inspire me to help other parents in the midst of their parenting journey when resilience and self-reflection is necessary to move forward. This is one reason I love my work as a parent coach.
