Is your child struggling with problematic eating behaviors, anxiety, stress and body image challenges? Are you feeling worry, stress and wondering if your child has an eating disorder of some kind? I have been in your shoes . When our child hurts, we hurt.

As a certified parent and health coach, I work with families facing these and other challenges to build resilience and balance while healing from problematic eating behaviors, eating disorder recovery and/or body image challenges. Using evidence-based strategies, I’ll help create a personalized game plan with positive coping tools for both you and your child. Together, we’ll enhance essential health habits to support the healing process such as improved sleep and views around eating and nutrition, stress management, and communication, empowering you to foster a healthy, resilient, and thriving family!

My six step, researched based program is designed to help parents support their kids through the challenge of whatever type of eating disorder your child is facing.

You just want to know: Is my kid going to be ok? Am I doing everything I can?

How I Can Help?

The FORWARD Method: A Parent Coaching Framework for Supporting Your Child’s Healing Through Recovery,  Problematic Eating Behaviors, and Body Image Challenges.

My FORWARD method is a 6-step, personalized coaching process designed to guide parents as they support their child through problematic eating behaviors, eating disorder recovery, and/or body image challenges.  This framework helps you feel confident, connected, and clear on how to be the anchor your child needs—while building a comprehensive, coordinated plan for healing.

Read more about moving FORWARD and see an overview of the benefits you will gain from the program:

F — Find Your Family Values and Vision. We begin by clarifying your family’s core values and vision for health, connection, and healing. These values become the foundation for your parenting decisions and how you show up for your child. Together, we reframe what health and recovery look like in your unique family system, helping you lead with purpose instead of fear.

O — Organize and Oversee the Care Team. You don’t have to manage this alone. I help you identify, organize, and collaborate with the key professionals your child needs—therapists, dietitians, doctors, and school supports. I fill in the gaps, helping you coordinate care so everyone is working toward the same goal. I’ll guide you through what questions to ask, how to advocate for your child, and how to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

R — Recognize Generational Patterns

We look at how your own upbringing and family history around food, body image, and emotions may be impacting your parenting today. Together, we break cycles of shame, perfectionism, or diet culture and create a healthier, more compassionate narrative for your family moving forward.

W — What to Say (and Not to Say)

Many parents worry they’ll say the wrong thing. I provide scripts and communication strategies for difficult conversations—whether it’s around meals, emotions, or body image. You’ll learn what helps (and what can unintentionally hurt), so you can talk with your child in ways that build trust, safety, and connection.

A — Anchor Yourself with Emotional Regulation

Your child needs you to be their safe harbor. We focus on helping you regulate your own emotions, so you can respond calmly instead of reacting out of fear or frustration. You’ll learn strategies to stay grounded, even in the hardest moments, and how to model resilience for your child.

R — Rebuild Relationships and Repair Trust

Eating disorders often strain family relationships. I support you in rebuilding connection with your child by focusing on attunement, presence, and empathy. Whether trust has been broken or communication feels tense, you’ll learn how to repair and strengthen your bond—without stepping into the role of “food police.”

D — Develop a Roadmap for Long-Term Recovery

Recovery is a journey, not a straight line. Together, we create a sustainable, long-term plan tailored to your child and family. I help you anticipate challenges, celebrate progress, and adjust the plan as needed—so you feel confident navigating the twists and turns of healing. You’ll leave with a clear roadmap, knowing how to support your child today and into the future.

FORWARD gives parents the tools, language, and confidence to support their child through one of the most challenging times in their life. You’ll move forward with clarity, purpose, and connection—anchored by a support system that works. You will be empowered to move from confusion and fear toward clarity, connection, and hope.

Introducing you to Siah Fried Coach™ parenting program outlined by topics.

This 6-week one-on-one coaching program will take you from constant worry and doubt to the relief of knowing your kids are going to be ok. Here is an outline of  benefits you will gain from working with me:

1. Clarity on How to Support Your Child at Home. Parents will leave with a clear, step-by-step understanding of how to create a supportive home environment that encourages healing. You’ll know exactly what to say, what not to say, and how to handle tricky situations without making things worse.

2. Establish a competent, coordinated care team. You’ll learn how to organize, communicate with, and advocate for your child’s professional care team—ensuring everyone is on the same page. This means fewer gaps in treatment, less confusion, and a stronger, more cohesive support system for your child.

3. Stronger Communication and Connection with Their ChildYou’ll develop tools and language to connect with your child on a deeper level, building trust and fostering open, shame-free conversations. You’ll feel more confident navigating difficult discussions around food, body image, and emotions.

4. Tools to Manage Their Own Emotions and Stay GroundedYou’ll gain practical strategies for regulating your emotions, reducing stress, and responding with calm confidence—even in the toughest moments. This emotional steadiness helps create a safe and predictable environment where your child can heal.

5. Breaking Free from Harmful Generational Patterns You’ll identify and shift inherited beliefs and behaviors around food, body image, and self-worth, creating a healthier family culture. This lays the foundation for lasting change, not only for your child but for future generations.

6. A Clear Roadmap Through the Recovery ProcessYou’ll walk away with a personalized, actionable plan to navigate your child’s recovery journey—from early intervention to long-term support. You’ll feel less overwhelmed and more empowered, knowing what steps to take next and how to keep moving forward.

What makes me qualified to be a parent coach?

As a health professor and educator, and NBC-HWC coach, who has worked with thousands of clients, parents, and students with various mental and physical health challenges, I have cared for multiple people, including family members, who have battled and beat an eating disorder and other mental health challenges and health diagnoses. Whether your child’s struggle is with disordered eating, body dysmorphia, an eating disorder, overweight, poor nutrition, or mental health struggles, my job is to support you as you support your child through these challenges. I have been in your shoes. As a parent myself, I know what it is like to parent when my child is hurting. When our child is hurt and struggling, we hurt and struggle too.

Like all families, we have been through a lot together. Our connection to each other has helped us through our collective and individual challenges. I like to be authentic about my own parenting journey. I am not a perfect parent– just ask my kids. The lessons I learned regarding aspects of parenting that helped my kids and what wasn’t so helpful, as well as my professional background and experience, inspire me to help other parents in the midst of their parenting journey when resilience and self-reflection is necessary to move forward. This is one reason I love my work as a parent coach.

Why coaching works

I was looking for a parent coach to help me with having a deeper connection with my son and came across Siah. I worked with her for less than two months, but she made a huge difference! Siah helped with managing and verbalizing my emotions and concerns. She also explained and provided insight into my son's behavior. Every week I had an action item to work on and new insights to consider. My relationship with my son has improved tremendously thanks to her guidance. And I have the tools to keep it that way!

When we can see our child for who they are and not who we think they need to be, they rise to their greatest potential. Simultaneously, we rise to our greatest potential as parents.
