When your family is facing a challenge—whether it’s an eating disorder, anxiety, chronic illness, stress, or emotional burnoutIt’s easy to feel like you have to fix everything at once. That urgency is real. But you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

I work with parents who are in the thick of it—from managing medical concerns to mental health red flags, school stress to managing ADHD in their child or themselves , burnout to breakdowns. Sometimes it’s big, like suicidal ideation or disordered eating. Sometimes it’s quiet, like a slow drift toward disconnection or self-doubt.

As a parent coach, I offer a grounded, practical, and compassionate space for you to regroup and find your way forward. Originally created to support families through disordered eating recovery, Move FORWARD has grown into a powerful framework for navigating a wide range of challenges—from mental health struggles and medical concerns to academic pressures and major family transitions.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or stretched too thin—you’re not alone. Parenting doesnt come with a handbook but that doesn’t have to feel like a constant crisis.

My Move FORWARD coaching framework is built around three key pillars:

🌿 Focus on Your Family

We start by understanding your family’s unique dynamics, values, and needs. Not what social media says “good parenting” looks like—but what matters most to you as a family. This gives us a strong foundation to make decisions that feel aligned and sustainable.

🌊 Find Your Child’s Flow

Whether they’re struggling with self-worth, school pressure, identity, or health issues, your child deserves support that honors who they are—not just what’s hard. I help you uncover their strengths, interests, and temperament to help them find their flow—and define success on their own terms. This builds a resilient person.

🛤 Forge a Personalized Roadmap

Every family is different. There is no one-size-fits-all fix. Together, we build a roadmap that supports both short-term needs and long-term resilience—whether you’re coordinating care, advocating at school, navigating adolescence, or just trying to make it through the week with less conflict and more connection.

Why Work With Me?

I bring over 30 years of experience in clinical health education and college and high school teaching—but more than that, I bring real-life perspective and evidence-based expertise.

Professionally, I spent 17 years as a college professor teaching nutrition, health, and women’s health, and 5 years as a high school health teacher, where I created and implemented the entire school health curriculum. My coaching is grounded in evidence-based research, as well as my own work—I’ve published two books, with two more on the way, and recently presented my research at the University of Toronto.

I’ve coached:

What draws clients to my work isn’t just my background—it’s the coaching strategy, the clarity of the plans we create together, and the authenticity I bring into every conversation. Whether you’re dealing with something big or something hard to name, you don’t have to manage it alone.

It’s not so much the what as the way and the how that makes the difference.

You can move forward with confidence, purpose, and peace.

Move FORWARD together

Why coaching works

I was looking for a parent coach to help me with having a deeper connection with my son and came across Siah. I worked with her for less than two months, but she made a huge difference! Siah helped with managing and verbalizing my emotions and concerns. She also explained and provided insight into my son's behavior. Every week I had an action item to work on and new insights to consider. My relationship with my son has improved tremendously thanks to her guidance. And I have the tools to keep it that way!

- Claudia

I didn’t get a lecture about my past or my parenting style — I got real, practical tools I could use with my kids right away. I left feeling empowered, not judged.

- Client

When we can see our child for who they are and not who we think they need to be, they rise to their greatest potential. Simultaneously, we rise to our greatest potential as parents.
