Parenting Doesn’t Come With a Guidebook… Until Now

Parenting Doesn’t Come With a Guidebook… Until Now. Parenting is complicated. No one hands you a roadmap, and no one tells you the shortcuts—or the pitfalls. After 21 years of teaching high school and college students and working in a clinical health setting with parents with kids of all ages, I kept seeing the same challenges over and over:

  • Anxiety, depression, ADHD
  • Disordered eating, perfectionism, burnout
  • Vaping, alcohol/drug use
  • Families stretched thin

The Struggles Are Not the Real Problem

When we see teens vaping, restricting food, bingeing, or glued to screens, these are often coping tools — not the core issue. Unless we address the roots, new “weeds” will keep appearing.I kept sharing the same insights and strategies with families, and each time, it mattered. Parents appreciated the strategies, loved the session summaries, and were seeing real results — which is what matters most. But speaking it aloud wasn’t enough. Families needed something more than the session summaries they could return to whenever life got messy. That’s why I wrote these books: the guides I wish I had when I was navigating parenting myself.

Parenting doesn’t come with a guidebook… until now.

Evidence-Based Strategies That Work

I’m not a perfect parent — no one is. I wish I would learned these strategies from a coach or in a guidebook when my kids were born. I have done the work more recently and it’s never too late to be a better parent. The strategies in these books are ones I now use with my own teen and young adults, and they’ve made a difference in our family life. One of my young adults said, “Mom, there’s something different about you.” I told her, “I now understand so many things more clearly and have learned better parenting strategies through my clinical, life, and teaching experience as well as from the coaching credentialing program and my coaching practice. See, it’s never too late!!

Even more exciting? Parents of toddlers — and even expectant parents — are leaning in, hiring me as a parent coach and asking, “It’s not too early, is it?”

The answer: It’s never too early. The sooner we notice and shift patterns, the healthier the roots grow.

It’s about rewriting the script. Your kids are more than grades or trophies. You are more than a “perfect” parent.
The cycle stops now — with you.

I wrote these books with you in mind to help you:

✅ Step off the hamster wheel of pressure

✅ Break generational patterns of perfectionism

✅ Build healthier coping tools and deeper connection

✅ Redefine success based on your family values and your child’s personal strengths and interests-not society’s.

Both books are short, approachable, and packed with evidence-based strategies you can start using right away.

Redefining Success book feedback: I had so many parenting books gathering dust on my shelf, but this one was totally different. It’s short, but packs quite a punch. It breaks down essential strategies in such a clear, approachable way that makes them very palatable to a busy working mom like myself. I started using some of the ideas right away and loved that they were all based on research and evidence. The kicker was that because of its length and engaging contents, my parents and other caregivers have picked it up and started using some of the strategies with my kindergartner too.
