Kids are being pushed to a level of distress while racing down this fast-paced, dangerous lane to achieving “success”. This never-ending race is leading to a rapidly increasing deterioration of our kids’ physical and mental health which has finally been declared an epidemic. One reason mental health conditions are on the rise in young people is because they don’t have healthy coping skills. Without healthy coping skills or a diagnosis of what is at the basis of our pain, we, as humans, will do whatever we can to “feel better” and this may lead to unhealthy coping skills which include self-harm such as drug use/abuse/addictions, eating disorders. I will work with you and support you as you support your child through, and out of, a mental health challenge. We will address the mental health condition like we would any physical illness.
